Give me a break please. It is nothing to do with the patriotism of a country but the taste. :) But perhaps you haven't tasted the king of all the mangoes - "Sindhri" from Southern Pakistan. Next in that order is Banganpalli from Andhra Pradesh. It is a medium-sized mango and sweet as sin. Ripens to a reddish orange blush. My rating -1/2*:)), I am for an autonomous region for all mango eaters.... non eaters will be thrown ghutli at them :-p. Mango is the king of fruits, and Langra is THE KING of Mangoes...enough said! It is eaten as slice and and also best for dish "aam-ras". Every day keep checking if any of them is ripen enough to slurrrrrrrrrrp :). Chaunsa is harvested in the summer months (June–September). @Kalyan the chaunsa is IMO the best pakistani mango to eat. We do understand you feeling and affiliation first with India and second with Indian mangoes. The quality of Chaunsa is unmatchable because of its fragrance, delicious taste and luscious soft pulp. I am so much in Love with Pakistani mangoes that I never tasted any other, even I have access to Australian, Indian, Malaysian, Philippines and even Kenyan Mangoes. Chaunsa (also referred to as 'Chausa') is a pale yellow, slightly green succulent variety of mango when ripe. Though I haven't eaten Indian mangoes but still believe me Pakistani mangoes are better. This is available in July and August.The overall season for Anwar Ratol is from June to August. Well dussheeri & other mangoes are very sweet in taste so i don't like them. On the contrary, last two summers I crossed the border to go to Toronto only to eat Pakistani mango and I must admit that it was really worth every penny I spent to go there.
